La Roche-Posay Anthelios sunscreens are designed to protect the skin from UVA and UVB rays, help prevent sunburn, dark spots, and photoaging, and support sensitive or acne-prone skin with lightweight, dermatologist-tested formulas.

Yes. La Roche-Posay is known for minimal, hypoallergenic formulas tested on sensitive skin. Most Anthelios sunscreens are fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, and many are specifically labeled for sensitive or reactive skin.

Many Anthelios products are great for oily or acne-prone skin, especially the ones labeled “anti-shine,” “dry touch,” “oil-free,” or “for oily/acne-prone skin.” These formulas help control shine, feel lightweight, and don’t clog pores when used correctly.

It depends on the formula. Chemical sunscreens from Anthelios usually don’t leave a white cast and blend well on most skin tones. Mineral or tinted mineral formulas may leave a slight cast on deeper skin tones, but the tinted versions usually look more natural.

Like any sunscreen, you should reapply every 2 hours when exposed to the sun, and immediately after swimming, sweating, or towel-drying. For daily indoor use, apply in the morning and reapply if you have direct sun exposure for long periods.

Chemical sunscreen: Uses organic filters to absorb UV rays. Usually lighter, easier to blend, and often preferred under makeup.Mineral (physical) sunscreen: Uses zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide to reflect/scatter UV rays. Often recommended for very sensitive skin, or post-procedure skin, but may leave a slight white cast.
